Who We ARe…

The Peace Cup was founded in Seoul, South Korea in 2003 with the aim of resolving conflicts between regions, fostering unity among different classes, and promoting spiritual and cultural peace. The proceeds from the tournament are used to support efforts in providing the next generation with spirit and character education and training.

SPIRIT & CHARACTER

We believe in integrating the spirit of competitive sport with our founders ideals of living for the sake of others, as a basis for solving our world’s challenges through raising the next generation.

WORLD PEACE? REALLY?

YES! The world continues to grapple with the cries of suffering, as demonstrated by conflicts and religious tensions, as well as the looming environmental crisis. Through sports, culture, and arts, we can transcend religious dogmas and political ideologies, uniting people of all backgrounds and cultures in a celebration of unity and peace.

Our dream:

One Korea

From its inception, Peace Cup was launched to use sports, culture, and arts as a means of realizing the dream of one unified Korea. Inheriting this legacy, we continue to strive towards this goal of heavenly harmony on the Korean peninsula.

Our Founders

Rev. Sun Myung Moon & Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon

Rev. and Dr. Moon’s life vision and mission is to realize One Family Under God. The late Rev. Moon dedicated his entire life to calling men and women to transcend race and religion, rebuild the family as the vessel of true lasting love, and realize a world of peace through living for the sake of others. Dr. Mrs. Moon has continued to fight for this dream, beginning with realizing the dream of one unified Korea.
